Collaborating closely with the Pulsar R&D Team, the Paper Rex Art Department, and Ilia "Something," we developed a new surface tailored specifically to his high-sensitivity gameplay needs. The ultra-finely and evenly knitted texture delivers a silky-smooth surface with exceptional stopping power for precise flick shots in competitive FPS games. At the same time, it ensures effortless glide during slower movements, offering the perfect balance of control and speed.
PRECISE STITCHING
The microstitching on the Something Pad was meticulously designed to complement Ilia’s movement speed and stopping precision. With 360° Anti-Fray Flush Edges, it offers enhanced durability and maintains consistent performance, even with extended use.
CONTROL-FOCUSED & STABLE BASE
The base plays a crucial role for Ilya’s high-sensitivity settings. He required a base that wouldn’t sink or feel soft like a Poron base, as its softness could hinder his flick movements. Instead, he preferred the firm support of a classic natural rubber base to ensure smooth, unrestricted movements during intense gameplay. After testing various
types of natural rubber, we discovered the perfect specification for Ilya: a premium natural 4mm base with 27° hardness and a density of 569kg/m³, delivering the stability and firmness essential for his performance.
